This was our last day in the city and we wandered around the city for a couple of hours and grabbed some to go food at a New York deli and had a little picnic lunch in the hotel lobby.

Some last views of the city.
We then grabbed a taxi to Brooklyn to where the boat was docked. We arrived around 1:30 and it was super quick to board. No lines.
We left dock around 4:30 and had great views of the Statue of Liberty and the tip of Manhattan.

The tip of Manhattan and you can see Governors Island in front of the city.

The ship we are on is called the Island Princess and it and its sister ship are the smallest ships win the Princess fleet. The boat holds 2200 passengers. Since all we have been on for the last 2 years have been smaller ships with 1000 passengers max. So this boat seems huge to us. I will post some pictures later of the boat and our cabin. This ship is also due for a refurb and that is happening in September. It was originally built on 2003 and there are no USB ports to charge anything in the room.
We have 1 sea day prior to Halifax Nova Scotia on Sunday the 7th.

It must be very cool to sail out of NYC! Bon voyage.
Hey, Whatever you stay healthy! Looks like a great itinerary!

We will do our best but as we all know a ship is a lovely little petri dish.
